How Do We Make Your Projects Successful?

Our foundation services span almost the entire project. Because we perform them in parallel to the other development steps, the development can be concluded fast and cost-efficient and changes late in the project can be avoided.

For the assessment of technologies we draw on the long and diverse experience of our staff. Industrialization and certification, functional safety, cybersecurity and general project management are institutionalized in our processes. This means we do not always have to reinvent the wheel and can therefore develop efficiently and with low risk for you.

Especially in the area of processes, we are glad to offer you our knowledge also in consulting and workshops.

Industrialization / Certification

Shall One Start Something Early, so It Has Not to Be Done at All?

We think so: To avoid the need for a special industrialization phase between prototypes and pilot series, we carry out Design for Cost, Design for Test, Design for Manufacturing, etc. right from the start.

In addition, we ensure from the outset that all certification requirements acc. CE or UL, etc. are taken into account, e.g. for EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility), safety, RoHS (Reduction of Harmful Substances). This shortens your development time and reduces your expenditure. You are faster and more economical on the market.

The following measures, among others, help us to achieve this goal:

  • The first prototype is already developed in such a way that it could be the series product and meets the certification requirements. This means that usually only one further correction, one other prototype, is required before series production, with a maximum of two corrections.
  • In addition, we try to produce all prototypes on the production lines for the series, which means that process problems are detected early on.

Functional Safety

Does Functional Safety Have to Be Complicated?

Certainly only as complicated as necessary. In order not to have to invent the wheel anew for your safety project, we have strict, established processes which deliver the safety-relevant results. Thereby we can economically execute hardware and software projects with functional safety for:

  • Industry: IEC61508
  • Machinery/ Machinery Regulation/ Machinery Directive: IEC 62061, ISO 13849
  • Automotive: ISO 26262
  • Aviation/ Avionics: DO-178 (ED-12), DO-254 (ED-80), ARP-4754, ARP-4761
  • Medical Devices: ISO 13485, IEC 62304
  • and other areas: IEC 60730, UL 1998, Explosion Protection (ATEX), railways, etc.

Our established processes mean a greatly reduced risk for you of wasting unplanned effort and time for certification. We have processes from hazard analysis/ risk analysis through certification planning to the safety case.

You have special requirements? We start where the others stop, where there is no longer a standard off-the-shelf solution.

Cybersecurity

Is Cybersecurity Necessary?

Absolutely, because more and more physical products are being connected to the Internet and the Internet of Things is growing. This also increases the attack surface and the opportunity to attack not only computers and servers, but also your products.

For most embedded products that are connected to the Internet in some way, you no longer have a choice. For many embedded devices and controllers, the EU Cyber Resilience Act and the NIS-2 (Network and Information Security) Directive force you to implement and live cybersecurity.

Here, too, we focus on your security by reducing risk through quality, supported by our processes (CMMI Level 3 for e.g. IEC 62443-4-1) and adherence to standards such as:

  • IEC 62443-3-3, IEC 62443-4-2
  • IEC 27034
  • ISO 21434
  • ETSI 303 645

Project Management

Would You Like to Eliminate the Effort for Project Management?

We take over the complete project management, so that you do not have to assign any of your staff for it. Project management also includes the management of risks, so you will face no surprises. We ensure an efficient development, e.g. by filing and documenting your data in a structured manner, which also simplifies maintainability and makes it more economical.

Our processes allow us to accurately estimate projects after system design, so you get clearly defined milestones and effort. Throughout the whole project, we provide you with transparency and clarity about status, deadlines and effort.
