The Blackfin® processor contains the functions of a signal processor as well as those of a microcontroller. Together with the possibility of glueless integration with a lot of memory and peripheral devices this opens a wide field of applications in industrial and consumer electronics.
A single Blackfin can replace two processors in many applications, the DSP (digital signal processor) and the controller. For very demanding applications there is even a dual-core chip available.

Due to the long-standing design experience of our staff we possess a broad portfolio of competencies for successful digital signal processing design: systems, software and hardware.
From mathematical formula to code: We produce signal processor code from your algorithms, be they defined as block-diagrams, formulas or simulations (MATLAB/ Simulink). We have done this for control systems, audio signal processing) image processing or communications.
There is Linux respectively uCLinux support for Blackfin available and therefore all advantages of a real operating system can be used. This opens up new possibilities, especially in conjunction with dual-core processors.
