Integral Design
In our projects, we try not only to account for the primary technical aspects, but also for the not less important secondary aspects as:
- Product families
- Production
- After-sales
- Extendability/ modularity
- Component selection
- etc.
This approach influences the cost-value ratio positively by decreasing not only manufacturing or development cost, but considering e.g. the cost of the complete life cycle and the overall cost over product families.
This happens in the following ways:
- Product families: small numbers of different subsystems lead to larger production lots
- Production: optimization for the producer leads to smallest possible production cost
- After-sales: simple diagnosis and optimization of lifetime and reliability lead to lower service cost
- Extendability/ modularity: sensible interfaces and modules lead to simple adaptations to market and technologies
- Component selection: Not just use the same old components leads to optimized, cost effective solutions
